Dialogue A

A: Look at that man! There …in front of the book stall.

B: Yes. He looks familiar but I can’t remember where I’ve seen him.

A: On TV. He’s a writer and a journalist. He writes all sorts of political articles and reviews. And here I believe he is going to present his new book. Let’s get closer, I want an autograph.

B: Wait. I want to have a look at these books on history of arts. That's why I came here.

A: Are you looking for something special?

B: Yes… I need to buy a present for my aunt. She teaches Arts in the College and is deeply interested in everything related to arts.

Dialogue B

A: What’s this for?

B: Don’t you remember that the teacher asked us to bring some articles related to Contemporary Arts for the presentation?

A: But we haven't got Arts and Design class now. It was cancelled for some reason and we are having Maths instead.

B: Oh, Gosh! I forgot! And I don’t have the Maths book with me today...

A: I can sit next to you for this hour so that we can share the book.

B: Oh, thank you!

Dialogue C

A: What’s new at school?

B: Could we just talk about something else for a change? Something other than my school and my homework?

A: Ok. Why didn’t you wash up after your meals then? Your dirty dishes are still on the table.

B: Sorry, Mum. I was distracted by a telephone call and then I was looking for some book my classmate asked me about and then...

A: You can clean it up right now.

B: Sure. I’m coming.

Dialogue D

A: Enjoying your time out?

B: Oh, it’s you, Mark! Yes, it’s a nice day to be out, isn’t it?

A: Yeah, it is.

B: And, luckily, I have an afternoon off in my college today.

A: Do you?

B: Yes. And I decided to eat my lunch right here, on the grass. Join me if you want. There’s too much food in my lunch-box anyway. Mum always gives me twice as much food as I can eat.
